My main focus on crochet is crocheting for various charities. Usually shawls and baby items.

My grandmother taught me to crochet in my very early years. I learned using very tiny thread crocheting around handkerchiefs. That's now rather outdated, but I'm glad that's how I learned because I have no fear of using the tinest thread or beginning the tiniest project.

Currently my favorite shawl pattern is the one with the cuffs and the basic Pineapple Shawl. My baby patterns vary. I suppose my "specialty" of baby crochet is of the burial gowns for the preemies who transcend early in their young lives. Many crocheters feel these items are depressing ... I see crocheting these items as my gift.

Also, I enter crochet and knit items in the Miami County Fair under different categories. I must get them started. I have the ideas, just don't have the items begun yet. These are due mid-July, 2008.
